Introit
Hearken, O Lord, unto my voice which has called out to you; deign to be my help, forsake me not, do not despise me, O God my Savior. V. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? (Ps 26: 7, 9, 1) Processional Christ be Our Light Today’s readings remind us that while the Lord does his part, we must do ours and balance trust in God with personal effort. All things worth having take effort, and the greater the good, the greater the work involved. And if we’re talking about the greatest good (Heaven) and our very lives, does it really make sense to expect Heaven to just happen? ~ James McCarthy, baritone, and Margaret-Mary Owens, organ Psalm 92 Lord, it is good to give thanks to you It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praise to your name, Most High, to proclaim your kindness at dawn and your faithfulness throughout the night.
