Processional: Lord, You Give the Great Commission
~ Sofia Scattarreggia, soprano, and Margaret-Mary Owens, organ Psalm 85: R. Lord, let us see your kindness, and grant us your salvation I will hear what God proclaims; the Lord - for he proclaims peace. Near indeed is his salvation to those who fear him, glory dwelling in our land. Kindness and truth shall meet; justice and peace shall kiss. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and justice shall look down from heaven. The Lord himself will give his benefits; our land shall yield its increase. Justice shall walk before him, and prepare the way of his steps. Offertory: Take Up Your Cross "Take up your cross," the Savior said, if you would my disciple be; take up your cross with willing heart, and humbly follow after me." This hymn encourages us to follow Jesus in every aspect of our lives. Communion: We Remember Our respect for the Eucharist should never be confined only to the 15 minutes after the reception of the Body and Blood that He is physically present with us. We must remember to keep Him in our thoughts and minds all the days of our lives, and to live as faithful servants of Christ. Post-Communion: Jesus my Lord, My God, My All Our post-communion hymn for the month of July is intended to remind us that above all things, we must cherish our Lord, who is all good. Through him, all things are possible. Recessional: The Summons The words of The Summons ask us if we are ready to assume the responsibility of listening to Christ and making the changes in our lives needed for our own salvation. Are we ready to listen?
